Classification of laboratories

The choice of the laboratory is a very important step when you want to do a DNA test. You should know that laboratories do not all offer the same services and depending on your situation it is better to make the choice that suits you.

We therefore propose a laboratory list which corresponds to the reliability criteria in terms of genetic analysis for the search for a parentage link.

The standard sample is the method of collecting DNA samples by swabbing the mouth with sterile cotton swabs specially designed for genetic analysis.

This simple and painless method can be stored for several months at 4ºC in a dry and dark place.

Oral DNA extraction allows for analysis of  precision  at 99%.

The sample is taken from the inside of the cheek, in the mouth, with a dry cotton swab that you must dry for one hour in the open air and keep in a paper envelope provided for this purpose.

Standard Sample: ORAL COTTON

In cases where the test must be kept secret or one of the persons to be analyzed is not available, other samples may be used. They are also used in the forensic field and are a good way to obtain the DNA essential to perform the test. These are mainly the following samples:

- Dried blood stain

- Hair

- Ear wax

- Chewed gum

- nails

- Dental Floss, Toothbrush

- Cigarette butts

- Electric razor

Medical sample: FORENSICS
